Classic Cars in Corbridge 7th July 2013
On a glorious sunny day hundreds of cars from the classic era lovingly preserved by North-East enthusiasts were displayed en masse on Sunday the 7th July. Some 500 vehicles attended what is now becoming one of the largest gathering of classic motor vehicles in one place at one time in the region. The MG Northumbria show, staged at Tynedale Park, Corbridge, in the Tyne Valley, has the added bonus of raising money for a range of worthy causes. Opened by BBC North-East weatherman Paul Mooney, the rally draws thousands of visitors who come to see the classic cars and do their bit for local charities. In addition to the classic cars of all makes, there were also commercial vehicles, motor bikes, sports cars to be viewed and live music played by local musicians to keep the crowd entertained. There were also a wide range of trade stands, auto jumble, charity stalls and children’s rides to make a good all round entertaining day.
